Business and Accounting Intern

My overall internship experience with A Total Solutions CPA & Consulting Services Inc. was more amazing than I could have imagined it would be. During the fall semester, I had the amazing opportunity to become a business/accounting intern. I worked around 13 to upwards of 15 hours a week. I believe I was an asset because I had a hand in the creation of a new revenue stream for the company. I also had the privilege to aid the company with its efforts in producing accounting education within our community. Since starting this internship I have realized that the accounting profession is one that I am very interested in. I have found learning about taxes, how to bookkeep, and keeping track of personal finances extremely appealing. Becoming more knowledgeable about how to properly account for money is something that I have been able to really appreciate during my time with ATS. Moving forward with my career I know that this experience will benefit me even in the long run. I now feel that I have a more grounded understanding of what accounting actually entails. With this knowledge, I plan to continue my education in pursuit of business and potentially earn myself a CPA license.
