Timeline
During your first year of the program, you can expect to meet approximately every two weeks for class with your assigned small group. You’ll cover topics related to self-awareness and self-management, strengths-based leadership, stress management, networking, and more. Scholars are also required to learn about their financial aid, ePortfolio, and career resources. You can expect to attend one programmatic event each month. These events are in addition to your class.
During your second year of the program, you'll participate in workshops, discussion posts, and reflections, and you'll apply the skills you've learned through JLN to your engaged learning experience. This experience will help you discover the relevance of your learning through real-world applications. The JLN experience ends with a culminating retrospective of learning that is presented at the Institute for Engaged Learning's Showcase.
It is our hope that at the culmination of your two years in JLN, you will be better prepared for your senior year and ready to start your career search.
