Importance of data analysis in ECHO project planning

The Center for Public Health Practice is paving the way in improving access to treatment for common, complex and chronic diseases across Indiana using Project ECHO. ECHO, or Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes, is a partnership that uses technology to facilitate learning to enable clinicians to provide the best care for their local community. ECHO strives to reach a wide array of providers across Indiana. To ensure this goal is being met, information is gathered on each attendee, as well as their attendance to the ECHO’s offered, such as HIV or LGBTQ+. This data can also demonstrate whether the ECHO is successful by how many attendees return after the first session. I have created a procedure to organize the collected data to create meaningful visualization. These visualizations are then used in ECHO project planning. The goal of this poster is to educate what ECHO is, to demonstrate the need for ECHO and for data collection, as well as the procedure created to model data collected from the IUPUI ECHO programs.
