Biomedical Engineering Intern
The time I spent at this internship has been a fantastic experience from the start. The beginning I was extremely nervous at the beginning of the internship because of how I thought I was going to perform. As time went on though I gained more confidence in the work that I was doing and performed better which therefore let me enjoy it more. I interned at Arcamed, a company that designs and manufactures medical cases and trays. I work 3 hours a day from Monday through Thursday for a total of 12 hours a week. It doesn’t sound like much time, but I have still learned so much from the experiences I have had there and from my coworkers. I did take some days off here and there to be able to study for exams that have occurred periodically over this semester but have gained more hours by going into work earlier or staying later. I assisted the project engineers by doing many different tasks Being able to learn procedures and problem solve at a quick level helped me be a more valuable asset during my time. I am able to do tedious tasks for the project engineers to make their processes easier, including print packages, vent to volume, and quality control. I enjoy working at this company because of the culture and the work that I do. It's not always simple to work, but the time flies when I am there, and I look forward to going there daily. It’s important to have a good relationship with your career and if I end up doing something related to this in the future then I think I would enjoy my life.
