Early Intervention and Prevention Intern

I am an Early Intervention & Prevention Intern at Marion County Commission on Youth. MCCOY is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to influence the positive development of youth through leadership skills and the support of the youth worker community. As an EIP Intern, I have read research articles, attended meetings, and worked on various projects. I use programs such as Microsoft Office 365 and Zoom in order to be able to complete my task at work. One of the main projects I have been working on is creating a dashboard for the Early Intervention Planning Council. This dashboard is extremely necessary for the EIPC in order for them to be able to see if what they are doing is actively decreasing risk factors for youth within central Indiana. Another main project that I have been working on is the Storytelling project. Within this project, I was given the task of thinking of different ways we could promote this project in order to get the youth involved. Apart from working on these projects, I have been joining Kate in a lot of Zoom meetings with different EIPC members, the mental health council, the CHW project team, and different community leaders within central Indiana.
