The Effect of Practice Workload on Forces Experienced by Female Soccer Players During Kicking
A study was conducted on 10 NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer players to examine the effect of workload acting on them during a kick. Workload was assessed using accelerometers during practice, and a gait mat was used for the subjects to kick on before and after practice to access forces. The two events evaluated during the subjects' kick was the step with the plant leg prior to the kick, and the step before the plant leg step.
