Prevalence, Predictors, and Outcomes of Documented DNR/DNI Orders in COVID-19 Patients
In an attempt to provide adequate medical care for the most patients, hospitals have considered using unilateral Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders for patients with positive COVID-19 tests due to the overwhelming influx of critically ill patients. This study sought to determine the prevalence and timing of DNR orders among patients with COVID-19 as well as patient and clinical characteristics associated with a code status change to DNR.
