Across their interviews, this group of students found that there was a demand for game film from parents, coaches, athletes, and scouts. Individuals would set up creative camera rigs to record games, but there is no dedicated film production framework at the facility. These students set out to solve this problem by asking: How might we offer primary users convenient and high-quality film to watch and review remotely? After considering the features that users mentioned across interviews – live streaming capabilities, a scoreboard, and integrated creation of stats, graphics, and highlights – this group determined that partnering with Artificial Intelligence Camera innovators, PlaySight, would provide Grand Park with a highly capable film service. Capitalizing on the strength of AI allows for automation of filming operations and the technology associated with the cameras creates a streamlined user experience that can create highlights and share stats.
